Comments on the 2013 PGA PNC
The 2013 PGA Professional National Championship was a great experience!
Unfortunately I missed the cut. The weather conditions were pretty crazy for an Arizona professional that’s not used to playing the whole day in the rain. “Not Making Excuses” it was definitely a different experience.
The first day I teed off in the afternoon and it was a down poor for the whole day. Playing a course 7,600 yards in the rain is not always easy. I got off to a bad start being 5 over after 3 holes then shot 3 over from that point in. Not too bad considering the conditions.
Next day teed off in the morning early and of course it was raining the whole day except for the last 4 holes. Played well on the front and just tried to push it on the back making some bogies after being 1 under through nine.
All said and done I had a great time and want to thank everyone who helped me get there and especially students who contributed and my wife Paula and my caddy Robert Davis who had the toughest job as a caddy. Thank you very much!! I can only move forward and I’m looking forward to the next PNC!
Thanks again for all your help and support. We all have to get better including me.
